Gorge Walking Adventures.

What is Gorge Walking: Gorge Walking is scrambling, climbing, rock hopping, jumping in to water, swimming and squeezing your way up a gorge. It’s a great activity for families and groups of friends.

The day.

You will meet at about 9 am in Betws y Coed before your trip for introductions, a safety briefing and to get kitted out with essential safety equipment. We will then travel to our location where there is a short walk that takes us through ancient oak woodland and a tropical rain forest! Yes we are still in North Wales. This valley is incredibly beautiful and it’s a protected nature reserve.

After a short walk, we will drop into the river and start our scramble, working our way up the gorge. We will climb waterfalls, squeeze our way through rock formations, climb around steep rock walls surrounding rock pools and slide along naturally occurring water slides. We will not hear any monkeys in the rain forest but you will certainly see a lot of natural beauty.

Typically our trip will last about 3 hrs depending on group size and ability.
